Heart To Heart Talk

My family has a history of heart diseases. Would you be able to suggest some ways for me to stay healthy?
Oats have been known to help reduce cholesterol levels which may help reduce the risk of heart disease. We would suggest that that you start with a heart healthy diet that is low in saturated fat and cholesterol and increase the intake of fruits and vegetables.
Whenever my blood pressure increases, I get a light pain in my chest. I have consulted a doctor on the pain and have taken the ECG, TMT and ECHO test. However, the test results are normal. I am therefore curious about the reason for the chest pain?
Pain in the chest can be due to a few reasons such as indigestion, pleurisy and other problems as well. However, it should never be taken lightly as it can be a symptom of a serious heart disease. We encourage you to consult a doctor for a professional evaluation.
How can oats help in maintaining the health of the heart? Please suggest some of the best methods to consuming oats. Thanks.
A diet that is low in saturated fat and cholesterol and includes 3 grams of soluble fiber from oats may help lower cholesterol which may help reduce the risk of heart disease. Eating two bowls of oatmeal a day provides the 3 grams of oat soluble fiber which may help reduce the risk of heart disease as part of a heart healthy diet.
